13. When Creation is in Jeopardy

This week, we are going to do something different. Instead of trying to straighten out science’s conflicts with the Bible record about the Creation of mankind and the universe as a whole, we are going to look at some of the affronts to the ongoing process of creation today. Out of respect of the recent conclusion of the Sanctity of Human Life Week, we are going to take a strong look at abortion. This will not be a list of statistics and trends, but this will be a look at the people and their Redeemer.

A New Perspective

Pro-life bio-ethicist, Wesley J. Smith, was a guest on the Focus on the Family Radio Show this past week. He testified about a protest which occurred at a local abortion clinic. The protest involved evangelical Christians holding signs showing pictures of aborted fetuses, urging people not to go through with it, and reaching out to pray with people. A journalist showed up to do a story on the event. He took over ten pages of notes over the different interviews he had with the protesters he met there, and he was ready to right a first page article jeering the pro-life effort. In order to get both sides of the story, he went into the clinic and began interviews in there as well. One of the doctors approached him and asked, “You want to see what all of the fuss is about?” The journalist agreed and was led to the disposal room. The doctor then opened the lid to the trash and showed the journalist the contents. The doctor explained that the contents were nothing to get worked up about. To him, they were no different than a lump of flesh much like a tumor which needed to be surgically removed. The journalist, not having a completely callous and desensitized heart from performing 30-40 abortions per day, saw something completely different. He saw small dismembered hands and feet. Here he was to slam the pro-life movement, and yet when faced with the undeniable reality of what was going on, it stopped him in his place. His mind tried to understand and justify what he saw, but his heart began to connect with tiny hands and feet.

The Undeniable Reality

Dr. Bernard Nathanson headed the N.A.R.A.L. (National Abortion Rights Action League) which was one of the key organizations that campaigned for abortion rights and instituted abortion clinics as they are today. Dr. Bernard was the leading abortion doctor of his day and was considered the leading expert and defender of this practice. This man pushed the pro-choice spin back in the 1950s and 1960s when it was greatly looked down upon. He was also behind the key claim that without abortion clinics, 5,000 - 10,000 women die per year having illegal abortions done to them. He also confessed that those numbers were padded by tenfold from reality and that the source of the claim was an inaccurate report from the 1930s. As he rose through the ranks of success and began to manage abortions rather than perform them, he suddenly got an idea which he shared with a colleague of his. The idea was to record an ultrasound video of an abortion in progress. The process of an abortion is typically a blind process. A suction tube is entered, it probes, and chunks of meat exit. For the first time, they were going to see it through the grainy screen of an ultrasound monitor what was happening inside. His colleague agreed to the idea in the interest of science and performed anywhere to between 60-80 abortions that weekend all of which he recorded through the ultrasound. Later examination of the recordings changed both of their lives.

WARNING: This next paragraph is going to tell you the undeniable, graphic TRUTH of what these men saw which changed their lives. Reading it may cause you to feel disgust, anger, crying, a desperate motivation to pray and other forms of MORAL OUTRAGE which will change your perspective for the rest of your life.

In the ultrasound, you see a 10-12 week old baby sucking its thumb and showing a healthy heartbeat. When the suction tube enters the womb, the baby becomes agitated and the heartbeat quickens. The baby is extremely uncomfortable showing signs of distress. It begins to kick and squirm in an attempt to swim away from this strange foreign object. The tube is moving side to side probing for where the baby is and then it penetrates the sac of amniotic fluid. The sac begins to shrink as the exit of the fluid acts as a drain that brings the baby in close proximity with the suction tube. The mouth of the baby makes a shape like an “O” exhibiting a painful grimace which becomes known as the Silent Scream. Moments later, the legs are ripped off the body by the powerful force of the suction tube and disappear. The abdomen then splits open and the intestines are sucked out. Soon, the arms follow out as well. The doctor then has to enter forceps to crush the skull so it can be sucked out in several small pieces so that it will fit down the tube. The life of this innocent Image-Bearer of God has been concluded. The doctors have done this process blindly thousands of times, but now they see it for what it truly is and in the face of the TRUTH, they were transformed.

Dr. Bernard left the abortions practice a changed man and used the video tapes to make a pro-life video entitled, The Silent Scream. Segments of this video can even be viewed on Youtube.com. He is now an active pro-life advocate using his experiences and video to undo all the things that he has spent his life doing. As for his colleague who performed and recorded all of the abortions featured in the video, he simply left the abortion industry in immediate disgust to never perform another one again. It is when we open our eyes to the horror that we see will we understand what it is truly all about.

The Burden of Loss

They say that over one-million abortions occur every year in America since the Supreme Court ruled in its favor in 1973’s Roe vs. Wade case. The grand total is in excess of 40 million lives. For perspective, our most heavily populated state, California, only has 36 million people living in it as of 2005. Imagine if we had to remove a star from the American Flag because we lost the entire population of that state. Yet, here we are in the very center of Life, Liberty, and Happiness, and an entire population which exceeds the population of all of our states is shrugged off and denied the right to live. Imagine if Canada with a population of 33 million people was gone and that nation perished from the face of the earth. The United States has always been a leader in civility and a champion for humanity in the world. Yet we are seriously tarnished when a population of the most innocent of human beings is denied the basic right to live because of selfishness, inconvenience, and irresponsibility. For further perspective, Hitler’s Holocaust against the Jews killed 6 million European Jews. In the 1990s, Osama Bin Laden set up the Khartoum Sudanese government to commit genocide against over 2 million Christians living in southern Sudan. Hitler and Osama are villains who committed atrocities against mankind whom we all can see be buried in mass graves. On the other hand, nobody really knows or cares about abortion because most of its victims are hidden underneath trashcan lids in bio-waste containers. Nobody really grasps the reality of it until someone removes the lid so we can see what all the fuss is about. Until we see tiny hands and tiny feet. Or when a pair of doctors see a failing, desperate struggle for life as suction tubes and forceps crush and dismember. Heaven only knows the heroes, artists, engineers, leaders, judges, doctors, scientists, or pastors that we have lost in that 40 million people who were not elite enough to be somehow wanted or considered to be convenient.

What to do Now

Many pro-choice leaders claim, “The Pro-Lifers have the moral victory. Yet in the same way that a woman can use deadly force to fight off an unwanted rapist trying to invade her body, she also has the same right to use deadly force against an unwanted fetus.” Spin will lead to more spin which will lead to more spin, and doing violence against them will only venerate them and inspire others to their cause. The answer is not shooting abortion doctors and blowing up abortion clinics. If we are to represent Christ, we must walk in His ways. Both Christ and His apostles walked in the way of loving their enemies, even when those enemies were trying to kill them all off. We are more than Conquerors because our God fights for us and hears our prayers and intercessions. But, we must walk in His way. We must see this darkness for what it is and believe and pray for people’s redemption. God’s victory does not end with the killing of trespassers. God’s ways are deeper than that. God longs to reach down into a person and open their eyes to a whole new understanding. We must take on the burden of prayer. We must take on the burden of fasting. We must not look away and put a blind eye to what is going on because it is overwhelming or disgusting. When God judges a nation, he judges the nation as a whole. And I guarantee you, God sees through the trashcan lid, and sees into the womb and He knows with more detail than we can ever imagine. Let’s count our blessings that we live in a country that is at least debating the issue and does have a feasible mechanism for change imbedded into it. We must educate those around us and encourage what is right.

In Conclusion

I remember when I was an officer in the Army stationed in Colorado. I went to meet with my wife for lunch when she worked at Focus on the Family. This particular lunch had a guest speaker. I do not know her name, but she was a large black lady who said something I will never forget. She said that today, we know slavery to be an embarrassing time in our nation’s history, but we overcame it. Now, it is a matter of time before the embarrassment of abortion also passes away into history and we overcome it as well. Truth no matter how gruesome and Love no matter how difficult will redeem this travesty. The Scriptures tell us that it all starts with us. When we, God’s people, humble ourselves to pray and seek God, He will restore the hearts of the fathers (and mothers) to their children and the hearts of the children back to their fathers (and mothers). Open your hearts in remembrance of tiny hands, tiny feet, and struggles which go on in the womb. Let it burden you, so that you may pray.

12. How we lost the Scopes Monkey Trial

Dr. Henry Fairfield Osborn was many things such as the head of the Department of Palaeontology at New York’s American Museum of Natural History. He was also a Marxist and a standing leader in the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). As part of the ACLU, he was a key player in furthering their agenda to overturn Christian-backed legislation which forbids the teaching of evolution in schools.

In February, 1922, Dr. Osborn received a fossilized tooth that was recently found in Snake Creek, Nebraska, which he concluded to be undisputable evidence of a missing link which became known as Nebraska Man. Scientific claims and artist conceptions were produced to depict ape-men-like wookies crossing the American plains in large running strides while carrying clubs and spears. It was a very dramatic work of creativity all drawn from a single tooth. Dr. Osborn saw his tooth as his own silver bullet for a test case that the ACLU would hold in 1925 at Dayton, Tennessee, which became historically known as “Scope’s Monkey Trial.”

How They Made Monkeys Out of Mankind

Though the tooth was one of the triggers for the Scope’s Monkey Trial, it was not admitted as evidence. Disagreements on the legitimacy of the tooth began to slowly and quietly break out within the scientific community. In the American Museum Novitiates for January 6, 1923, nine authorities wrote their objections that the tooth was from an ape or a human. So, ACLU lawyer, Clarence Darrow, began to attack the book of Genesis as a true, historical record with his goal to undermine the Authority of the Word of God. One of the key questions he asked is “Where did Cain get his wife?” which he posed to William Jennings Bryan, the prosecutor who stood for the Christian faith in the trial. The transcript of the interrogation of Bryan by Darrow is as follows:

Darrow - Did you ever discover where Cain got his wife?

Bryan - No, sir; I leave the agnostics to hunt for her.

Darrow - You have never found out?

Bryan - I have never tried to find.

Darrow - You have never tried to find?

Bryan - No.

Darrow - The Bible says he got one doesn’t it? Were there other people on the Earth at that time?

Bryan - I cannot say.

Darrow - You cannot say. Did that ever enter your consideration?

Bryan - Never bothered me.

Darrow - There were no others recorded, but Cain got a wife.

Bryan - That is what the Bible says.

Darrow - Where she came from you do not know.

While Bryan is confessing his trust in the Scriptures, which is a key issue, he is not giving a good answer to a blind and dying world. As a result, the world sees his inability to explain the Scriptures as a reason not to trust the Word of God. Just trusting and believing and having faith is a good thing for a believer who is wrestling with doubts and uncertainty within his or herself is great in that one scenario. However, when we are representing the Truth to a world that is blind and cannot get it, we need to do our homework so that we may be “. . . ready always to [give] an answer to every man

that asks you the reason of the hope that is in you. But do this with gentleness and respect.” (1 Peter 3:15) Was William Jennings Bryan giving answers with gentleness and respect to a lost, vindictive ACLU lawyer? Was he speaking with a hardened heart, filled with self-righteousness, or was it with humility and gentleness which earnestly seeks the opportunity to give an answer to those lost in darkness about the hope that is within us? If we wish to represent Jesus, then we better do it His way with His Word alive in our hearts. These are darkened times where seven out of eight “born-again” youths leave the Church and the Faith by the time they reach their early twenties. It is a time when we must study and press in to find answers to questions that people may have. Often times, we in the Christian Faith dismiss the unknown and just trust God. This is good for you as a believer, but it doesn’t help your high school kid who is getting indoctrinated by the secular community forty hours per week. We must know why we believe what we believe so that we may overwhelm the opposition.

Where did Cain get his wife?

Secular society often hides behind the assumption that if there were an Adam and an Eve, then their children would have to marry from other tribes of men or else there would be all kinds of deformities in the human genetic code early on. This confirms their underlying beliefs that humanity never had a fall and that we are only evolving into something greater. They believe that after Cain was expelled for killing his brother Abel that he went to the land of Nod, married a wife, and took charge of a town. Some believers fashion a form of this belief to themselves. They start talking about pre-Adamite races in that races of men populated the earth before Adam and Eve, and that Adam and Eve were a separate “godly” race. All of this is heresy and should be condemned on site. Such heresies have misled people into trying to justify the mistreatment of Africans as slaves by dubbing them as members of the “pre-Adamite” race incapable of salvation. We may not stone people today, but we should stone lies, falsehoods, and deceptions.

According to the Scriptures, Adam was the first of mankind. His sin brought the curse upon us all. This is paramount in the Christian doctrine. It is the source of all of our troubles and sins that we face today, and it is the reason why Jesus came to the earth and died upon the cross. Eve is also deemed as the mother of all mankind as well. There were no rival races of men upon the earth. They did not have Ten Commandments, they and all of the creatures of the earth had one commandment: Be fruitful and multiply. Life was very simple: you plant a harvest, hunt, make fires and shelters, and couples “knew” each other biblically often enough to fill the earth with youngins. They were created in genetic perfection capable of living 800-900 years old, and during that time, they were commanded by God to be fruitful and to have many children in which they did. “After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters.” (Gen 5:4) No one truly knows just how many children they could have had during that time. But during these days, men such as Adam, Abraham, and Jacob, started families which turned into nations in very short amounts of time. In a matter of decades, their children would be marrying and having offspring. At this point, many critics of the Scripture would stand upon their moral high-horse and proclaim, “But wait! Isn’t that against God’s law?” The answer at this point in time is no! At this point, things were pure, and the human genome was perfect. It wouldn’t be until almost 2,500 years later after the fall during Moses’ time that the genetic imperfections would start to emerge and God’s law would be presented to address this matter in Leviticus 18-20. So prior to this, it would not be against the law to marry close relatives. So, Cain ended up marrying a close relative who was a younger sister or niece. Some critics also argue that Cain left by himself and found a wife after being expelled, but what do the Scriptures state? “So Cain went out from the Lord’s presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden. Cain lay with his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch. Cain was building a city then, and he named it after his son, Enoch.” (Gen 4:16-17) No where there does it mention that Cain went and found a wife. His wife was expelled with him, and when they reached their destination, they started a family. It’s an assumption by the critics that Cain left alone and found a wife. Scripture clearly states that he left, found a new spot, and that was when his wife started having that nesting feeling, and then kids happened. Cain was out to build a town, and one key ingredient to a town is to have a population. In time, he had a town and an entire civilization at that.

The Tooth of Nebraska Man

The fossilized tooth that sparked the Scope’s Monkey Trial had its own closure from the history books. Additional searches were made of the Snake Creek, Nebraska area where the original tooth was found bringing the scientific community to conclude that the tooth belonged to an extinct race of pigs. These facts were not broadcasted through the media, but the 14^th Edition of the Encyclopedia Britanicca (1929, 14:767) did cite the fact that the tooth actually belonged to a “being of another order.” It’s funny how they would not admit to it being a pig’s tooth. The story continues. In 1972, a herd of this so called extinct race of pigs was discovered to be alive and well by Ralph Wetzel in Paraguay’s Chaco region. Wetzel’s description was documented in Science (1975, 189:379) and they were classified as Catagonus ameghino. Once again the fossil record is corrected from being a several million year old missing link, to an extinct pig, to a new discovery of a species of living, breathing pigs.

In Conclusion

The Scripture speaks it clearly. There was only one man and one woman at the beginning of creation. From them all mankind came to be. Then, there was a Flood which left only Noah, his wife, and his sons with their wives alive. Within four generations of the Flood, mankind came together in a wicked form of unity (instead of going into all the earth as commanded) and built a tower (thinking they would have a place to go if God’s Judgment came again as a flood – which He promised that He wouldn’t). God then transformed mankind into the different races we see today, scrambled their languages so they could not be united in disobedience, and caused them to spread throughout the earth as originally commanded. As Christians, we must know what we believe, and why we believe it. We believe that the Bible is true. We must also know why it is true. And answers such as “Just because,” or “Cuz I have faith!” just do not provide the answer which creates a life-changing foundation in an unbeliever.

11. Lucy the Knuckle Walker

In 1973, Donald Johanson discovered what he believed to be man’s oldest ancestor near Hadar, Ethiopia. The find is one of the most complete fossils ever found as far as the remains of “missing links.” It comprises of some skull fragments, a jawbone, a scapula, ribs, vertebrae, upper and lower arms, a hip, a few hand bones, a femur, and a lower leg bone which adds up to 40% of a complete skeleton. Please note that there were no portions of the feet found. He ran straight to the media and claimed it to be a bipedal, female missing link from three and a half million years ago which he named Australopithecus afarensis which has been nicknamed “Lucy.” In 1974, fifty four fossilized human footprints were found over an eighty foot stretch of ground by Mary Leakey (Louis Leakey’s wife) in Tanzania over 1200 miles away. These footprints were made in ash which got wet from a possible rain which made it like cement. The footprints were radioactive dated to be three and half million years ago which puts it in the same time frame as Lucy’s skeleton which is 1200 miles away. So, the story according to evolutionists goes as follows: Lucy was a young female missing link who resembled an ape-chimp-human who could walk upright which is evidenced by the footprints (which are 1200 miles away). Donald Johanson went forward into stardom in the evolutionary circles for his discovery and wrote many theories claiming that “our ancestors walked erect close to three and half million years ago – long before they developed big brains that had once been thought to be the hallmark of humanity.” Some of the foundations of his claim depend on the fact that Lucy walked upright, and that she is an intermediary link between man and ape. But, if the foundation is not upon the solid Rock, it will not withstand the Truth.

Of Feet and Footprints.

We previously covered the huge margins in error when it comes to radioactive dating. You can basically conjure any date you are looking for to tie in any loose ends for a theory. In addition, note that the spewing of volcanoes destroys any attempt to radioactive date anything by contaminating the sample with different kinds of elements which are from under the earth and subjected to tremendous heat and pressure. Something one-thousand years old will turn into something that is millions of years old. On another note, those footprints which are supposed to be Lucy’s, they are 1200 miles away! They are 1200 miles away! Think about the probability of finding perfectly fossilized footprints undisturbed for 3.5 million years and contributing them to a skeleton which has no feet found 1200 miles away! Lucy must have had a car too! With there conveniently being no feet found in the skeleton, it’s truly hard to conclude that Lucy is a bipedal walker rather than a knuckle-walker. In the absence of firm data, they make use of their imaginations. On this matter, the footprints and her footless skeleton have no firm ground to stand upon. Yet, evolutionists pass it off as scientific evidence and our kids are required to memorize it and study it. With that being said about the feet, we’ll next examine the hip.

Lucy’s Hips

There are key differences between the human hip and that of an ape or chimpanzee. The human hip is designed to allow us to stand upright and for our legs to move and swing to allow our bipedal locomotion. For chimps and apes, their hips are designed more for tree climbing, and when they stand upon the ground, they are often bowlegged, standing on the sides of their feet, and having to use the knuckles in their hands to assist with their walking. Lucy undeniably has chimp hips, but don’t tell her or Donald Johanson that, it’s a kind of a sensitive subject to them. This fact perplexed the faith of evolutionists. They refused to believe that Lucy had chimp hips which did not allow her to walk upright and to make those footprints 1200 miles away! Their solution to this problem can be viewed on the 1994 PBS/Nova series entitled “In Search of Human Origins: Episode One.” In this first episode, you can see a leading evolutionary scientist, Dr. Owen Lovejoy, struggle and wrestle with this issue. He finally makes a plaster cast of the hip and introduces a power saw! Dr. Lovejoy remarked, “The perfect fit (of the fossil in its original condition) was an illusion to make it resemble a chimp.” With the power saw, he fashioned the hip with three cuts to make it resemble a human hip. When he brought the cut pieces together, all kinds of light showed through this new “fit” and claimed that this was how the hip should have been and a deer must have stepped and crushed the hip over the course of time. The narrator of the show remarks that Dr. Lovejoy’s efforts were “brilliant” and that “it was a tricky job.” The problem is not science; the problem is science which is devoid of the Truth. So, in reality, Lucy’s hips are from a chimpanzee and she could not have walked on two feet alone.

And, to make matters worse, she is a he! Donald Johanson, her discoverer, stated that she has small pelvis because her offspring would have had small chimpanzee-sized heads rather than large human ones. Peter Schmid, evolutionary paleontologist at the Anthropological Institute in Zurich, Switzerland, studied the dimensions of her pelvis and came to very different conclusions. He and his colleague, Hausler, stated that a female of that species “would have had a pelvis with a larger sagittal diameter and a less protruding sacral promontorium.” They even continue on to say that the “laterally oriented iliac blades of AL 288-1 (Lucy) would produce more favorable insertion sites for the climbing muscles in more heavily built males.” In other words, her hips can’t pass a kid, but they are built more like that of a male chimp.

Lucy the Knuckle-Walker

Some of the final bits of evidence which suggest Lucy was a knuckle-walker rather than bipedal exist in the wrists. Brian Richmond and David Strait of the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. made a remarkable true discovery about Lucy while studying papers on primate physiology at the Smithsonian Institute, National Museum of Natural History. They discovered that knuckle-walking primates have a locking mechanism in their wrists in order to stabilize the wrist joint so they can use it. In an interview, Dr. Richmond stated, “I walked over to the cabinet, pulled out Lucy, and – shazam! – she had the morphology that was classic for knuckle walkers.” So, her wrist, in diameter and structure were designed to make her a knuckle-walker. Her arms were long and her scapula (shoulder blade) is also designed for tree-swinging unlike a human’s.

Other Examinations

Peter Schmid, the paleontologist from Switzerland, also stated:

“When I put the skeleton together, I expected it to look human. Everyone had talked about Lucy as being very modern, very human, so I was surprised by what I saw. I noticed that the ribs were more round in cross-section, more like what you see in apes. Human ribs are flatter in cross-section. But the shape of the rib cage itself was the biggest surprise of all. The human rib cage is barrel shaped, and I just couldn’t get Lucy’s ribs to fit this kind of shape. But I could get them to make a conical shaped rib cage, like what you see in apes.”

In that quote, you can see the frustrations of Peter Schmid, who is an evolutionist, where a trained eye meets to discern between the hype and reality. Like most evolutionary discoveries, Lucy was introduced to the media first where pressure and head-nodding make it into the story that it is today while trained, honest criticism are considered second hand (much like global warming . . . hmmmm).

Evolutionist, Professor Charles Oxnard of the University of Western Australia used an objective “un-biased” computerized analysis of many of the bones of the so called homonids such as Lucy. The conclusion was that they were a unique group of extinct creatures who are not intermediary links between apes and humans. In other words, evolutionists have been getting excited over an extinct species of chimpanzee that does not walk upright and is not a missing link.

In Conclusion

Science is not evil. Man is evil. Scripture proclaims that all knowledge leads to the Truth. But, when that knowledge becomes distorted, hype / fame / fortune get in the way, and an honest examination of the evidence gets disregarded, then the Truth is ignored. And it is upon those shaky foundations that evolution is built upon. Some of the best sources on the problems of evolution are evolutionary scientists as they rip apart each others’ discoveries in their own pursuit of fame, fortune, and the oldest link. They are to be pitied for their obsession.

The best we can do is to pray and inform those will listen (who have an ear to hear), and allow the Truth to set them free from all the make-believe that is taught in schools today. Lucy is considered one of the biggest finds in evolution, and as you can see, upon a thorough scientific examination of the evidence, the story gets turned upside-down. But, that is what we, the Children of God, are to do. We take in the world, with all of its erroneous beliefs, and we turn it upside-down so it can sit right-side-up.

10. Evolution's Founders

Every system of beliefs has its patriarchs. For evolution, many scientists have put their input to their own personal creation story to form the construct that is accepted by a majority of scientists today. We will examine three key scientists from the twentieth century, their character, their methods, and their scientific claims.

Dr. Raymond Dart

In the 1920s, Dr. Raymond Dart, an anatomy professor in South Africa who was known for extreme pro-Darwin views, believed in an unorthodox theory that the size and shape of a brain determines its intelligence. This theory which was founded by a man named Arthur Keith, has been completely discredited. This absurd theory entails reading people’s bumps on their skull to know what their skills, gifting, and talents are. You have seen the 1900s style drawings of a skull with different areas labeled cooking, knitting, reading, math, etc. This theory has been completely disproved. It has been proven, however, that the size of the human brain does not determine its intelligence. The use of one’s brain completely determines its capability and intelligence. Many geniuses have had their brains measured and size is a factor that has been completely ruled out. For example, genius Anatole France had a brain that was 1020 grams in mass, while genius Jonathon Swift’s brain was 2005 grams. The size of the human brain has been known to vary from 855 grams to 2200 grams in mass, and people known to have a high intelligence have brain sizes that are throughout the spectrum. Anyhow, back to Dr. Dart, some miners brought a skull to Dr. Dart, and the brain had completely decomposed over time and was replaced by a sedimentary caste. Believing he could read the bumps on the caste which served as a model of what the brain looked like, he went straight to the media and proclaimed that he had found “the most significant find in anthropology” which walked upright, had an improved brain quality over chimps, and was more human than ape. When the scientific community had a chance to examine the skull, they were able to find that it belonged to a baby chimp that was 1-3 years old. This chimp was a find because it did belong to a species of chimp which is now extinct. Dr. Dart then faced 5 years of rejection from the scientific community until he was later vindicated by Dr. Robert Boom.

Dr. Robert Boom

Dr. Robert Boom, a Scotsman who was known for his genius, discovered 30 classes of animals and 60 new discoveries of animal species by the year 1934. On the flip side, this particular doctor was also well known for his dishonesty, disregard for human life, and for having some crazy beliefs. He was denied access to the South African Museum to study the fossils on record there because of his reputation for stealing them in the past. He thought no one else should have them but him, and he was not going to let anything get in his way. He was also forced to have a geologist with him because the scientific community tired from his improvable claims at how old his fossils were (you see, there is pressure out there to find the oldest and most original find). He was also naked when he was out in the field because he believed the sun had healing power. As far as disregard for human life, not only would he exhume bodies to experiment upon, but he also experimented upon the African natives. In one such experiment, he took two natives who were deathly ill with influenza. One sickly native was put inside of a tent and kept there, while the other was kept outside. His goal was that he wanted to prove that the sun would heal the one native outside while the other in the tent died. This was his grand experiment to test the healing qualities of the sun that he so deeply believed. As far as his evolutionary work, he ran to the media (sound familiar), with the claim of a find which he named Australopithecis Tranvalensis. The scientific community later rebutted him by stating his findings were just ape remains. In response, Dr. Boom changed the name to Plesianthopis Tranvalensis and went on a world-wide lecture tour scoring a nice fortune.

Louis Leakey

Louis Leakey is a brand name and a culmination of what evolutionists strive to be. With no formal training yet a large family fortune, Louis Leakey was a persuasive, self-made man. He had two beliefs that he set out to prove: 1. the human race came from a hominid ancestor who lived about 20 million years ago; 2. when examining fossils and the tools found near them, assumptions based upon inferred behavior can be made. Let me explain that last one. Inferred behavior works like this: you dig up a skeleton, and then you dig up a hammer twenty-five feet away. According to inferred behavior, you would come to the conclusion that this human used that hammer in his lifetime. On his first expedition to Africa in the 1920s, he went to the Olduvai Gorge and found the skeleton of a homo sapien (regular modern day man), stone tools, and some ape fossils. He then claimed that he had found the missing link, a half-man / half-ape who used stone tools, and he called it Oldoway Man. He also stated that it was 20 million years old making it the oldest and original find. He had captured the attention of the scientific community who funded a second expedition and sent geology professor, Percy Boswell to try and confirm the age and location of his findings. This second expedition turned out to be a waste of time and a disappointment to Percy. Percy had found that despite Leakey’s claims, there was no map, no pictures, and no iron pegs (which Leakey blamed the natives for stealing). Leakey had hit a low which continued to spiral him downwards. He was further discredited in the eyes of the scientific community when he had an affair on one of his expeditions which led to a divorce. Hey, it was the 1950s! That kind of thing was frowned upon even among the secular side of society. Later, Leakey remarried, found sources of private funding, and in 1959, discovered Zinjanthropus Boise, “the earliest homonid” and “the maker of stone tools.” The scientific community called it an “ape.” But, that did not stop Leakey. He went to the media and on world wide tours where he persuaded the beliefs of the everyday man and quickly became a household name. In 1964, with the findings of a jawbone, skull fragments, and some tools, he discovered homo habilis, the “handyman” who is more human than ape, a tool maker, walked upright, and capable of rudimentary speech. With a lot of plaster and the few skull fragments, he concocted a skull with the brain capacity of 600-800 cubic centimeters putting it in between the average range of humans and apes. It is still a mystery how he was able to make these claims with a skull that is more plaster than bone. This is what is known as composite construction and it is very unreliable. The next challenge was to find some human-like, tool making hands for his newest find. After more digging, they found 21 hand bones in an attempt to add more credit to their composite “tool maker” skeleton, but Leakey’s staff later admitted to their true origin. Out of the 21 bones, six are non hominid (animal bones that are not human/ape/chimp/monkey), two are arboreal (tree-living) monkey, and one of the hand bones is a vertebrae bone. Yep, one of the supposed “hand” bones is actually a spinal bone! As you can see, for Leakey, it’s all about making the sell. The innovative and creative Leakey is best known for his 1470 skull (1470 is the museum assigned artifact number, it has nothing to do with a year) which he discovered in 1972. He needed a skull which had an 810 cubic centimeter capacity to give credit to his many other findings such as homo erectus, homo habilis, and homo ergaster. After excavating large portions of land, he found 150 small skull bone fragments. With all of these skulls fragments, a lot of plaster, and his cunning ape-leggos skills, his 1470 skull was completed. “Ape-leggos” has to do with if you cannot find the evidence you are looking for, with enough random bone fragments, plaster, creativity, and salesmanship, you can create any bit of evidence needed. The radioactive dating of the skull varied from 260,000 to 22 million years old. Since Leakey initially believed that mankind’s ancestor was 2.2 million years old, he claimed 2.2 million years old and threw away the rest of the data. Later in 1973, Leakey’s stardom attracted the attention of anatomist, Dr. Alan Walker. After a large find of fossils, they all met in Nairobi to discuss them. After a heated debate between, Alan Walker (doctor of anatomy) and Leakey (who has no formal training), Dr. Alan Walker grabbed the newly found fossils and exited the building saying that he did not want his name associated to whatever claim Leakey was pushing. What that claim was, is still a mystery. What is not a mystery is that every time a qualified, formally trained scientist accompanies him, such as geologists Dr. Percy Boswell and anatomist Dr. Alan Walker, they end up walking away irritated and disappointed. Despite the objections of qualified scientists, Louis Leakey has been able to sell his finds to the common man through the media and his many world-tours. Today, there are mixed opinions about this man and his many findings. In some places in the secular scientific community, his claims such as the 1470 skull have been ruled as a hoax. However, school text books and many scientific writings today still cite his claims as if they are true scientific discoveries.

In Conclusion

One interesting note is that evolutionists have a huge fossil record of supposed “missing link” fossils for mankind, but no fossil record findings for the everyday ape, chimp, and monkey. Why is this? May be it is because every time an ape/chimp/monkey fossil is found, they always try to claim that it is man’s missing link.

Leakey spent his entire life digging up human bones, chimpanzee bones, monkey bones, ape bones, pig bones, and obsidian stone tools. A majority of the bones in the area were actually pig bone fragments! So according to his intense belief in inferred behavior, he should have stated, “Since a majority of the bones found with the tools are pig bones, I proclaim that the pigs were the tool makers!” If Douglas Adams knew about this, the “Hitchhiker’s Guide to Galaxy” book series would have taken on an entirely different set of tangents.

Jokes aside, Proverbs states that “So is the way a man’s heart is, so he is.” Those key shapers of the doctrine of evolution are plagued with crazy personal beliefs, shady scientific methods, and a quest to discover-create evidence to fit their theory that they are trying to prove. It is a quest for fame and fortune. Amongst themselves, you can always find them discrediting each other and disproving each other’s finds. Many times, Creation scientists find discrediting evidence against evolution from the jealousy and inner-rivalry that exists within the evolutionary community. The true “missing link” in evolutionary science is integrity. This should not come as any surprise since they have set their hearts against the Truth who alone is Jesus Christ.

9. Neanderthal ABGs

When taking Allometric Bone Growth (ABG) into consideration, different age determinations can be drawn upon examining the Neanderthal bones. ABG, occurring only in the jaw, front facial bones, and the back of the head, is the continuous outward bone growth during the specimen’s entire lifetime giving them a protruding chin and forehead and a large cranium. Evolutionary scientists believe Neanderthals to be extinct evolutionary offshoots to mankind, but creation scientists have discovered them to be the long living forefathers from the days of Noah and before. We will be comparing three different Neanderthals: Le Moustier (age 17), Chapelle (age 43), and Ferrassie (age 43). These comparisons will be between the age that evolutionists say that they are and the ABG ages when you compare jaw angle and facial growth. Growth rates will be based upon the average ABG that a modern human encounters which is about 5% every thirty years. Chimpanzees and apes encounter a growth rate that is twice that of humans, so their ABG is 2X or two times.

Le Moustier

When this fossil was discovered in France, a lot of “doctoring” went into effect to make it the great neo-darwinian claim that it is. This skull is one of the many constructed composites. A composite is when you find pieces of the skull, and then you put in plastic to cover for the pieces that you do not have. The critical problem with this is that the discoverer has a license to get truly creative / deceptive in putting together his finding. One of the media claims when this fossil was originally presented is that it has a “mallocluded jaw” meaning that the upper and lower jaw do not match. The best way to hide a lie is to throw it out there for everyone to see and hide it with your thesaurus. In reality, when the discoverer was putting the jaw bone back onto the skull, he moved it 30 millimeters (little over an inch) forward so that it would have a more ape-like appearance. This fossil also had a false bone wedged into a fissure at the base of the skull to hide the slower growth rate and to make it appear that the neck and the head slumped forward in a more caveman/ape-man like fashion. Now that we are past the fiction, let’s look at the facts. Evolutionists claim that Le Moustier was 17 years of age. With a 110 degree jawbone, his ABG would have to be twice that of a regular person. When taking into account for ABG, his age is corrected to be 27 years old. This correction may be small, but with other fossils, the results are much bigger.

La Chapelle

La Chapelle-aux-Saints is another French Neanderthal claimed to be 43 years old at the time of his death. Upon closer examination, in order for him to get a jaw angle of 105 by the age of 43, his jaw would have to grow at 7 times the normal rate. Upon making adjustments for normal ABG, his age is adjusted to be about 192 years old. When looking at facial growth, his face would have to grow at 11 times the normal rate. When taking into account for normal ABG, the recalculations come to a ripe old age of 278 years old. A large difference exists between the study of the jaw angle and facial growth. This is partly due to the fact that this specimen’s bone growth was impacted by arthritis and a host of other diseases due to a poor diet in his effort to survive a post-Flood ice age.

Ferrassie

This Neanderthal is also said to be 43 years old at the time of his death. His jaw bone reads an age of 231 and his facial growth reads to be 324 years old. Measuring ABG to determine death is not an exact science, but it is clearly showing that this person could not achieve this kind of bone growth within 43 years. Under circumstances of normal growth, this is evidence of him living to be centuries old.

In Conclusion

In an article from the Sun News, 10/20/2007, they remarked that scientists recently believe that Neanderthals had the “gift for gab.” After massive efforts to dehumanize them as ape-men and evolutionary offshoots, scientists are starting to realize that there is more to them. At their grave sites, evidence for religious burials has been discovered such as powders that have been sprinkled upon the body, flower remains, and various tools. Some of these tools have been medical in nature. All of this points to a much more advanced civilization than Chewbacca with a loin cloth carrying a club. Some of the burial sites have the person with arms folded in a resting position. A reconstruction of what they would look like today conducted by those in the disciplines of Reconstructive Forensics and Anatomy show that a modern day Neanderthal would look like a typical stocky person of today.

Let’s end with a quote from an Answers In Genesis article “Neanderthals: Our Worthy Ancestors Part II” by Marvin Lubenow:

“The Indians of Tierra del Fuego, at the extreme southern tip of South America, were hunter-gatherers. They were considered to be among the most primitive people on earth. Ashley Montagu (Princeton University) writes that these Indians:

[They] . . . live in perhaps the worst climate in the world, a climate of bitter cold, snow, and sleet, and heavy rains a great deal of the time, yet they usually remain entirely naked. During extremely cold weather they may wear a loose cape of fur and rub their bodies with grease.³⁴

When Charles Darwin went on his famous around-the-world voyage, he visited the Fuegians. In his fascinating work, The Voyage of the Beagle, Darwin describes Fuegian life and culture.³⁵ It is difficult to compare people living in historic times with people we know only from fossils and cultural remains. Nevertheless, a strong case could be made that the cultural inventory of the Fuegians was less complex and extensive than was the cultural inventory of the Neandertals. Yet, no one considered the Fuegians to be less than fully human, except Darwin, who believed that they were too primitive (sub-human) to be evangelized. Darwin was proven wrong by missionaries who did evangelize them. In fairness to Darwin, he later admitted his mistake regarding the spiritual potential of the Fuegians.

One of the most brutal episodes in human history was the genocide of the full-blooded Tasmanians about a century ago. The genocide was allowed because evolutionists claimed that the Tasmanians were not fully human. The reason their full humanity was doubted was because evolutionists applied the false test of culture. Jared Diamond (University of California, Los Angeles) states in his article “Ten Thousand Years of Solitude” that any anthropologist would describe the Tasmanians as “the most primitive people still alive in recent centuries.”³⁷ Of all of the people in the world, they were considered among the least technologically advanced. Hence, they were considered less evolved than other people.

Like the Indians of Tierra del Fuego, the cultural inventory of the Tasmanians, as described by Diamond, was less complex and extensive than was the cultural inventory of the Neandertals. Yet, the Tasmanians proved that they were fully human. How did they prove it? They passed the fertility test. Although all full-blooded Tasmanians are gone, there are many Tasmanians of mixed blood today because in those early days many Caucasian men married Tasmanian women.”

8. Great Grandpa Neanderthal

Many scientists boast that their perceptions of life and the universe are based solely on scientific evidence and draw nothing on faith. The chief reason that this cannot be true is based mostly upon the fact that evolutionary and Creation scientists study the exact same bones, fossils, and evidence, yet they draw completely different conclusions. The Creationist studies from the worldview that the Bible is the defining, authoritative Word of God, and the evolutionist has his own personal genesis story that is being written and re-written daily based upon improvable scientific claims. The core beliefs of a human being define their interpretation of the evidence. One steep contrast involves the question, “Who is Neanderthal Man?”

The Evolutionary Perception:

Neanderthals are easily identified by their protruding jaw, nose, and facial bones. Evolutionists believe that Neanderthal Man lived 30,000 to 200,000 years ago which should have yielded a huge fossil record with thousands of generations, but it did not. It is believed that mankind is not a direct descendant of Neanderthal Man, but rather, Neanderthal Man is an offshoot from the evolutionary tree that eventually died out and became extinct. Because of this and their evolutionary timeline, they do not believe that modern day humans and Neanderthals lived at the same time, intermixed, nor intermarried. They believed he lived a very primitive life inside of caves and had a part in some of the cave drawings. They believe that Neanderthals had culture and religious beliefs since they did ceremoniously bury their dead and made musical instruments. They believe that he had rudimentary speech and was not very intelligent despite his large cranial size. Due to the believed harsh lifestyle he faced, the remains dated him to be in his forties at the time of his death. Since his children look no different from our children, they believe that within that forty year lifespan, his facial bones underwent “precocious bone growth” in order for him to get the protruding brow, facial bones, and jaw. They do find it odd how so often the teeth of a Neanderthal will appear to be much younger than the skull it is resting in? For instance, the skull of a child will appear to be of a six year old, while the examination of the teeth shows someone to be three years old. This leads to the belief that Neanderthals give birth to large children and therefore the women must have very large pelvic bones to birth a child that is practically the size of a toddler.

The Creationists Perception:

When a person reaches maturity, they reach a stopping point as far as bone growth. However, this is not true for some of the bones in the human head. This is known as Allometric Bone Growth (ABG). Every thirty years, the human facial bones and the back of the human head is known to have grown outward by 5% or more. Throughout your lifetime, everything from your chin to your brow is growing outward and the back of your skull which contributes to your cranial capacity grows out as well. The same is also true in apes and monkeys, but their growth rate is twice the rate of ours or more. In other words, ape-babies have flat faces much like human-babies, but when apes grow up, their face grows outward faster giving them a jaw and a face that juts out. When taking this into consideration along with the incredibly long lifetimes of hundreds of years or more as recorded in the Bible, a completely different conclusion can be drawn about who Neanderthal Man really is. Before the Fall, mankind could have lived forever and never known death by living in obedience to God and enjoying the fruits of His presence. Since the fall, mankind has been in a downward spiral, and our days have been numbered to not normally exceed 120 years. This numbering of 120 years (which coincides with the amount of time that human cells can continuously replace themselves under ideal conditions) did not take hold right away with Adam, but it took place in a gradual state of decay over many generations. So, when we look at a Neanderthal skull, the question should be, “Is this what I would look like if I lived to be as old as Adam, Methuselah, or Noah?” So Neanderthal is not a missing link or an evolutionary offshoot, but he is no different from a modern day human being who had the privilege to live to a very old age. This explains why in some cases, Neanderthals and Modern Day Humans share the same burial grounds. In fact on Mount Carmel in Israel, there have been modern human remains buried within deeper levels of the mountain than the Neanderthal remains which gives credit to the belief that the Neanderthal was just a human who outlived those who came after him.

It is also believed that the long living humans matured at a slower rate. In the case of the six year old child with a three year old’s equivalent of teeth, the teeth came in later in life than what they do now. Children today have teeth appearing months before their first birthday, but a study based upon dental charts from the 3^rd British Museum on children under the age of 12 months during the years of 1759 to 1859 showed that none of them had teeth eruptions. Another dental record study compared dental charts from the years 1883, 1939, and 1963, and they all showed that humans matured at a faster rate today than they did in the past. Young girls would reach their first menstruation at age 16 in the year 1860, yet over the decades, the average menstruation age changed to 14 in the 1920s, and it continuously becomes younger today. Often times the x-rayed remains of Royal Egyptian Mummies appear to be much younger than their historically recorded age. In contrast, Neanderthal Man is someone who lived a long life with a very slow maturity rate which was common in the days of the early portion of Genesis.

When you take into account the differences in facial features, genetics, and bone structure of all of the different races of mankind: Caucasian, African, Oriental, etc. and compare them, you will see a greater difference between them than you will between the average modern man and a Neanderthal. Forensic efforts from Japan have reconstructed a face from skull remains and revealed how they do indeed appear to be like the average person. Creationists believe that he is one of us blessed with a long life and a very slow maturity rate. His large cranium embodies a brain that has lifetimes of experience. It is believed that he had very good manual dexterity because some of them had carvings on their teeth, whether this was a tattoo or an early form of dental work is unknown, but it does show the use of hands and tools completing very precise tasks. It is also known that among their cave paintings, there was one with a mammoth and a dinosaur fighting each other. This part of the cave was closed to public viewing in that it upset the evolutionary model.

In Conclusion:

Theoretical scientific claims do not come from their evidence alone. Scientists have an idea or a theory, and they are setting out in hopes to prove it. Evolutionists have their own “genesis” story that depends upon a vast amount of time and chaotic, random events coming together to create a higher order. They start out with a created paradigm that has been accredited by the scientific community. Any hopes in adding to that “established” paradigm gives them fame, fortune, and a remembrance that could go beyond their death. They look to the grave to find the meaning of life and all they find is a small, limited fossil record made up of a few bone fragments often proclaiming, “We'll just have to dig more and try to find better fossils.” When one of their hoaxes get exposed, they declare, "I just wanted to show what it would have looked like.” It is creative story telling at its most deceptive, yet passed off as science. Yet, they miss the point that the Tomb is Empty.

Creationists believe that Jesus is the Creator and that He is God. If Moses was wrong about something in Genesis, then Jesus would have been running around correcting him rather than quoting him all of the time. All of the preconceived notions about life and the universe for a Creationist comes from the Bible. With the Bible defining their core beliefs and their world view, they can look at the Neanderthal evidence and see how it coincides with basic medical knowledge of bone growth and come up with something so profound.

Next time, we will examine some of the history of the different Neanderthal findings and compare the number of birthdays that evolutionists say they had with what Creationists have to say when they take into account for Allometrical Bone Growth. This is probably the only case when you would have a Creationist arguing for an older age.

7. I'd like a Java Man, no sugar

“Most of what I learned of the (evolutionary biology) field in graduate school (1964-1968) is either wrong or significantly changed.” W. B. Provine

Scientific claims in empirical sciences such as physics and chemistry demand solid evidence that can be observed and repeated under laboratory conditions. These sciences lead to modern day conveniences and tangible discoveries which contribute to the operational field of science which give us computers, artificial hearts, airplanes, cell phones, TVs, satellites, lasers, and a host of other modern conveniences. These operational scientific discoveries are based upon the scientific model where the scientist gets to test his theory and modify his calculations based upon repeat experimentation and observations. And that experimentation and those observations tell the scientist what is occurring. A lot of your theoretical sciences make grand scale claims about the past, the future, and the universe as a whole that have little to no data to justify it. What evidence they do have is often very loosely based because they cannot always enjoy the benefits of experimentation. Often times, in theoretical physics, you have claims that are based upon mathematics alone, but the means to actually observe or to even discover the proof on that claim is decades or centuries outside of our reach. In reality, who knows if the math equations are correct or if they are missing volumes of factors we have not even discovered. Yet, many of these theories are presented to the public and widely accepted as truth based on the fact that a scientist said that it was so. As you will begin to see, evolutionary science, anthropology, and paleontology are not empirical sciences and therefore do not carry the burden proof. There is a popularly believed construct, a popularly accepted belief system, amongst the scientific community in which they search out to find proof. Often in evolutionary science, a general story has been made up and generally accepted, and scientists go out to try to find fossils that will plug in and fit in order to enhance that story.

It should be noted that evolutionary scientists have discovered a total of 500 individuals which they believe to be ancestors of mankind. This includes all of the Neanderthals, cromagnon, Nebraska man, Lucy, and a host of others. You may ask, “Hey, how much evidence is needed to constitute an individual?” The answer: at least one bone fragment! That’s right! Many of these individuals are just teeth, half of a jaw bone, pebble sized skull fragments, and part of a thigh bone at best. It seems that teeth, skull, and jaw bones survive the decay process the best. If you took all 500 of the individuals and put them in one room, you could fit them all very comfortably on a billiard table. Some of the “individuals” do have several bones such as Lucy, but most of them are only a single fragment. One interesting observation is that the fossil record as a whole comes to us in small shattered bits and pieces as if a grand scale crushing Flood did great violence upon them.

Java Man: The Club-Wielding Wookie Warrior

We have all seen pictures of Java Man. He is the ape-man missing link often depicted carrying a club. He walks erect, has an apelike face, and is sometimes depicted with a loin cloth. His discoverer/inventor is a Dutchman named Eugene Dubois who was serving in the army in what is now Indonesia. Eugene was a very enthusiastic yet untrained evolutionist who believed very passionately that he was destined to find the missing link. Eugene also believed that in order to find the missing link, he needed to find a skull with a brain capacity somewhere in between that of an ape and a human. On the island of Java near the village of Trinil, he began to discover teeth buried in sandstone layers along the Solo River in September, 1891. The teeth were registered to be chimpanzee teeth. Ten feet away from where the teeth were found and one month later, he found a skull cap. Magically, from this small portion of a skull, Eugene was able to envision a skull that was 2/3 the size of a human skull. He would use this claim to explain the mental capacity of his missing link. The only thing left for Eugene to find was proof that this creature, whose teeth were buried ten feet away from it, could walk upright. After much excavation along the river banks, Eugene found part of a humanlike thigh bone fifty feet away from where the teeth and skullcap were found. Instead of going to colleagues to study his findings in order to officially endorse them, Eugene went to the newspapers and declared that he had found “indisputable proof” for the missing link. Artists were hired to come up with several drawings of a hairy half ape – half man creature, and one was picked to be published in the paper in order to woo the public. All of these pictures showed an ape-faced, club wielding, hairy creature that walked and ran like a regular man. His findings were awarded the name Pithecanthropus erectus which means ‘erect ape-man’. Textbooks and magazines began to herald his discoveries around the world.

Reality and the Tell-Tale Skulls

Now you are wanting to ask, “Wait a minute, you mean to tell me that he found some teeth ten feet away from where he found a skull cap, and fifty feet from that he found a thigh bone, and he is saying it is all the same individual?” Yes, and there is more! Eugene also found two human skulls in the exact same area and strata which he kept hidden for thirty years underneath his floor boards. The modern human skulls are believed to be from the local Wadjak tribe. Truth about two human skulls would have destroyed his claim on the human thigh bone to show erect walking. While Eugene’s fame grew and the public generally accepted his findings, the leading authorities in the scientific community identified that one of the teeth were human and the other two teeth belonged to an orangutan. The skull cap was also identified as being part of a chimpanzee while the leg bone is truly a human femur. Once exposed, Eugene began to hide away his Java Man bones. This strange, elusive behavior is recorded in many of his personal writings and in other pro-evolutionary writings of yesterday and today. So, congratulations to Eugene Dubois, he found his ape-man truly made from authentic ape and human parts! Here, Eugene Dubois established himself as a pioneer in the art of Evolutionary Excavation and Biology, “If you have trouble finding it, build it out of what you have on hand.” What about all of those drawings in the newspapers, in published journals, and in scientific magazines? In fact, National Geographic even did a “Behind the Scenes” article showing how they and others just hire a group of artists to come up with some ape-human drawings and the scientist picks the one that illustrates the scientist’s imagination. Ape-man drawings and statues that are commonly displayed in the museum have everything to do with imagination and nothing to do with forensics or reconstructive anatomy. Let’s face it, bones do not tell the story on body hair or a host of features. Also, how do they know that Java Man had an apelike face when no facial bones are found. Bottom line: Who cares? Sensationalism sales!

In Conclusion

Even though Eugene Dubois’ Java Man is commonly dismissed as a hoax today, he is often cited in many textbooks today as a pioneer. Many writings on the evolutionary and creationism side state that he recanted his Java Man, but the passage they quote reads like this:

“Pithecanthropus was not a man, but a gigantic genus allied to the gibbons … I still believe, now more firmly than ever, that the Pithecanthropus of Trinil is the real ‘missing link’”

This is not recanting. This is “I got busted, so in response, I will believe it more than ever!” It is the classic ‘Charisma can outweigh the Truth’ syndrome. Unfortunately when someone is trying to persuade the masses, the masses will believe in a man who takes a hard stand in a declaration. This is the first article in a series that will show you the patterns of evolutionary science. The scientist will have this passionate sense of destiny, set forth looking for something in particular, will find some bones from all over the place, construct his evidence to fit his story, go straight to the media, and then get ridiculed by the scientific community. The problem is that once the scientific community has its opportunity, it is too late. The media has already impacted the populace which impacts the scientific institutions/foundations which impacts the grant money which impacts the scientists in a huge way. You have a cycle of perception, salesmanship, and greed as the key driving forces.

Science is not necessarily evil. Like all things, when it is abused, molded, and used for fame and greed, that is when science is denied the opportunity to connect mankind with his Creator. The true purpose of science is to allow mankind to marvel over the wonders of Creation in order to draw him to worship his Creator.

“First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires . . . But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water.”

2 Peter 3: 4,5

Basically, the evil one persuades men that they are on a quest for the truth. But, they end up constructing a truth that opposes the Truth and opposes God’s Word. God’s Word and His Truth is Jesus Christ! Often when confronted, evolutionists do not reply with civil counter-arguments or logic, but with mud slugging and personal verbal attacks.

“All men will hate you because of Me.” Jesus, Matthew 10:22

To those who hate us though, we are to return love, prayer, and a good honest answer! So, speak the Truth in love. Truth is like a lion, once you turn it loose, it will do all the fighting for you. What you say will stick with them and continue to challenge their conscience to a path of repentance or down a path that will sear the conscience to a point of no return.

6. Radioactive Dating (Half Life)

A typical geologist goes to a radioisotope laboratory to submit several samples that he needs dated. When filling out the forms, one of the questions on the form asks how old the sample is expected to be. Why would this question need to be asked if the techniques for radioactive dating are absolutely reliable and infallible? This is due to there being so many different anomalies in the radioactive dating process. So the geologist or other customer of the laboratory submits the age that he needs to support his claim. The laboratory is looking for a benchmark in obtaining a “good” date . . . and customer satisfaction. The results that work get published leading to the exchange of money and fame, and the results that do not support the claim get discarded or explained away.

“Some of the basic assumptions of the conventional Rb-Sr (rubidium-strontium) isochron method have to be modified and an observed isochron does not certainly define valid age information for a geological system, even if a goodness of fit of the experimental results is obtained in plotting Sr-87/Sr-86. This problem cannot be overlooked, especially in evaluating the numerical time scale.” Dr. Y.F. Zheng, famous evolutionary geologist involved in the dating of “Lucy.”

In other words, problems do exist with all of the radioactive dating methods, but often scientists are looking for a “good fit” to get their theory published. Attending years of study in order to obtain a PhD can make one credible in a certain field, but it does not make one infallible. Many people believe that scientists can measure the actual age of rocks and fossils using foolproof systems. By educating ourselves on these systems and the variety of results that they yield, we can start to be more objective and critical about their claims which are contrary to God’s Word. In fact, it is impossible to measure the age of rocks and fossils, but scientists can very accurately measure the concentrations of the different radioactive isotopes that are present in rocks and fossils. With this information on the ratio of daughter elements (the element created after the radioactive decay process) to its parent elements (the original radioactive isotope prior to decay), they form a calculated guess to the age of the rock or fossil based upon assumptions which cannot be proven. The problem is not with measuring the ratio of the parent and daughter elements; the problem revolves around the assumptions made in interpreting the data to formulate an age. Four big assumptions impact their conclusions.

In the Beginning . . .

The first assumption is that the starting condition is known. For example, Uranium-238 decays to Lead-208 with an extremely long half life. If you have a mountain filled with Uranium-238 and Lead-206, does this mean all of the lead in the mountain came from decaying uranium ore? Scientists would measure the amount of Uranium-238 and Lead-206 and then examine the ratio in relation to the half-life and conclude that the mountain in millions of years old. The key assumption is that there was no lead in the earth’s beginning and that all of the lead came from the uranium undergoing millions of years of radioactive decay. The fundamental problem with this assumption is that according to Creationism, the Earth was created in a mature state. So, when you take the mountain into consideration, the amount of lead versus uranium from the very beginning is truly unknown. Bottom line, uniformitarian scientists take the measurements and decay rates of today and draw their conclusions on the past which leads us to the next point.

Does looking at today tell us about the past?

The second assumption that uniformitarianists make in their calculations which exceed millions of years is that radioactive decay rates are always constant. Radioactivity is a concept that is less than 200 years old. Radioactive decay as a scientific method was introduced shortly after World War II. These concepts are still in their infancy to mankind and there could be many deviations to the currently accepted model yet to be discovered. It is completely unknown whether or not current half-life values change, slow down, or speed up from millennium to millennium. In other words, we do not know if the half-life values in the year 1008 are different than the value we use now. Physicist Robert Gentry was studying zircon crystals from deep bores within granite rocks which were dated to be 1.5 billion years old. Within the sample, there were amounts of helium and lead which are residuals of radioactive decay. The amount of lead was generally consistent with the old date, but the amount of helium present was not. The helium should have diffused out of the rock within millions of years. Some scientists conclude that this could be evidence that radioactive decay rates were faster in the past than they are today. It should also be known that when radioactive decay happens within solid rock, is causes spherical damage or discoloration to the crystal structure. A speck of Uranium-238 can decay and produce a different radius of discoloration for each element it forms during the decay process till we are eventually left with Lead-206. When you cut these rocks open, you will see a cross-section of these rings known as radiohalos. While some radioactive elements such as uranium have a very long half-life, others have a very short one lasting only minutes. Polonium-218 has a half-life of three minutes, and their radiohalos are often found embedded in crystals without any parent uranium halos. This means one of two things: they were formed during the creation week and lasted a whole 3 minutes, or that decay rates in the past are radically different than they are today. Either possibility challenges the old earth theory. Bottom line, human beings are so limited in what we know and perceive, yet in our arrogance we claim to be so sure of what we think we know.

Is there any such thing as a closed system?

The third assumption is that the system being measured is closed and isolated and that none of the parent or daughter isotopes were lost or added. Closed, isolated systems must be free from the effects of erosion, weather, underground water streams, and geological activity such as earthquakes and volcanoes. During the decay, a radioactive metal may decay into lead, but it is also giving off helium which adds a whole new dynamic, gas. Also, these minerals are known to diffuse and move in and out of each other which makes taking a sample from a “closed” system all the more complicated. If scientists had the opportunity to talk to someone like Noah, he would be a witness to them how the earth, its hydrologic system, its climate, and its landscape was radically transformed within one year’s time. In some places, the earth’s mantle made up of many types of metals and their isotopes spewed forth to the surface following the vacuum created by the subterranean water escaping into the upper atmosphere under immense heat and pressure. All of this can greatly confuse the dating process. Geologist Andrew Snelling, working on dating Koogarra uranium deposits in the Northern Territory of Australia, used a radioactive decay method of measuring Uranium-Thorium-Lead (U-Th-Pb). He found that in heavily weathered soil samples in unclosed systems were falsely given results in the 1.4 billion years old range. As a result, a host of terminology was invented to describe these common anomalies such as pseudoisochron, erupted isochron, apparent isochron, mantle isochron, mixing line, and false isochron. In 1966, Nobel Prize nominee and University of Utah Metallurgy Professor Melvin Cook found that the lead isotopes he was discovering in the Katanga mines were not a result of radioactive decay from thorium, because there was no thorium to be found in the cave to decay into lead. As a result, he discovered a new form of neutron capture that the current understanding of nuclear physics did not allow under normal conditions. When taking the neutron capture theory into account, results would change from the ore deposits yielding an age of 600 million years to a more recent one. Professor Cook presented the evidence of it happening in many different ore sites and offered a theory of what was happening.

Can we use different methods and get the same age?

The fourth assumption is that the system is being measured right with all factors in consideration. Several different methods for radioactive dating exist: Carbon-14, potassium-argon, uranium-thorium-lead, and several others. Among all of the different methods, they should show the same results when compared. In Australia, a piece of wood was found buried inside Tertiary basalt (once a lava flow that has dried out and hardened). Carbon-14 dating on the piece of wood showed it to be 45,000 years old. However, Potassium-Argon testing on the basalt lava layer came up with a reading of 45 million years old. In the Koongarra uranium body in Northern Australia, different isotope methods yielded varying results from 1.5 billion years to 841 million years. Then, a thorium-lead method yielded the ages of 275, 61, and even 0 years old. At this point, the uniformitarianist would throw out the thorium-lead results that are under 1,000 years old, and the Creationist would of course throw out the results that are millions of years old. The thorium results would be more reliable in that this mineral is less mobile than its uranium parent.

In Conclusion

In the 1700s, the theory of spontaneous regeneration was the popular scientific belief that a hair from a horse’s tail would fall off and eventually turn into a worm or a snake. Also, it was believed that meat spontaneously turned into maggots. When Louis Pasteur started putting meat or horse hair in a closed beaker and began to observe it, we discovered that hairs do not turn into worms and that maggots come from flies, not rotting meat. Louis Pasteur had debunked the theory and changed our understanding with empirical evidence. The challenge to our generation is to ask what the “theories of spontaneous regeneration” are in our day and age which are contrary to God’s Word and to expose them. It is our duty to know and understand the systems that are used. Often we get bombarded from scientists that their claims are infallible, but when you consider the evidence and its source, you find a fallible human being limited to five senses and range of instruments who can only perceive three dimensions and no more. God is Infinite and Eternal, perceiving from all dimensions, and is not bound by time like we are. There are many mysteries and adjustments yet to be discovered. Sir Isaac Newton saw science as man’s quest to make discoveries about Creation and its Creator. A great perversion has swayed mankind from that pure pursuit to a much different creation story involving random molecules forming into amoebas which changed into fish, amphibians, lizards, mammals, apes, and then man over billions of years. This alternate creation story has stolen the hearts of our scientific community. Today, we see the fulfillment of Scripture in that in the last days powerful delusions and blasphemies will come upon the earth to deceive mankind.

“Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?” God, Job 38:4

5. Radiocarbon Dating

Historians for ages have puzzled over the ages of artifacts they find, but had no scientific method to back it up. In the 1800s, when fossils, pottery, or any type of artifact was found, they had no real way to measure if it were two years old or two thousand years old or more. The only way they could measure it is by somehow finding it referenced by a known historical record. This century, discoveries in radioactive dating have given non-empirical scientists such as paleontologist, archaeologists, and anthropologists a means to reference to justify their several different claims. (Examples of empirical science are physics and chemistry which are more evidence based; non-empirical are known to be more subjective and less evidence based allowing for more creativity than discovery). When the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in the mid 1900s, radioactive dating discovered them to be in the realm of being a little over 1,950 years old which is reasonable. But, what about when the dating of other artifacts and fossils give us figures such as 20,000 years old or millions of years old? These ages are unreasonably out of the Biblical model for Creation. Questions and confusion begin to emerge. What is radiocarbon dating? What are the problems with it? Is radiocarbon dating inconsistent or is the Bible?

What is Radiocarbon Dating

Mostly when people discuss radioactive dating, they immediately refer to radiocarbon dating. Radiocarbon dating was discovered by Professor Willard Libby of the University of Chicago. Just after World War II, Libby was in pursuit of peaceful uses in atomic science when he came across radiocarbon decay.

In atoms, you have three elements. Orbiting around the nucleus are negatively charged electrons. In the center or nucleus, there are positively charged protons and neutrally charged neutrons. Neutrons are the heaviest since they are a result of a fusion between the positively charged protons and the negatively charged electrons, hence their neutral charge. The number of protons that exist in the atom determines what kind of element it is. One proton is hydrogen, two is helium, six is carbon, seven is nitrogen, and so on. The number of neutrons just contributes to how stable the atom is. Too many neutrons means your atom is radioactive and will in time start to emit some of its excess. The number of electrons just has to do with the charge of the atom, positive or negative. The most important thing to remember is the number of protons which determine what element the atom actually is.

Our sun and the entire universe as a whole emit several different types of radiation into our atmosphere. In our upper atmosphere, these cosmic rays can knock off neutrons from a nucleus of one atom and cause the neutrons to strike the nucleus of other atoms at a very high energy. Our atmosphere is comprised mostly of Nitrogen (14N or Nitrogen- 14) which has 7 protons and 7 neutrons in its nucleus. When one of these high energy neutrons collide with a Nitrogen-14 nucleus, the neutron knocks one of the protons out and takes its place in the nucleus. This missing proton causes the Nitrogen-14 atom to change into what is known as Carbon-14. Carbon-14 has six protons (which make it a carbon atom) and eight neutrons (which make it heavy, unstable, and radioactive). Carbon is a very common substance on the earth and normally comes in the Carbon-12 (six protons and six neutrons, very stable) variety. The newly formed Carbon-14 immediately oxidizes in our atmosphere and combines with a couple of oxygen atoms to form a Carbon-14 version of carbon dioxide gas. It then falls to the earth or into the ocean where it then gets breathed in and even ingested by plants and animals alike. So during your entire lifetime, you ingest this substance, and once you die, you ingest no more and the process of radioactive decay begins to start.

In radioactive decay, something begins to happen inside the nucleus of this unstable Carbon-14 atom. One of the neutrons inside the nucleus splits into a proton which stays in the nucleus and it emits a Beta particle. Beta particles are a form of radiation which is nothing more than an electron which got shot out of the nucleus from a decaying neutron. Again, the number of protons inside the atom has changed, thus changing its identity from Carbon-14 back to its original form of Nitrogen-14. Scientists have measured this process and have established what they believe to be a half-life. A half-life is the amount of time it takes for a radioactive substance to decay into a different form. For Carbon-14, its half-life is roughly 5,600 years which means that if you had a sample of pure Carbon-14, you would only have ½ of that sample left at the end of 5,600 years of radioactive decay. Then, in an additional 5,600 years (we’re up to 11,000 years now) you would have a ¼ of the sample left. At the 50,000 year mark, you would be left at about 1/512 left and the levels would just not be detectable any more. Upon this measurement, the scientists compare the amount of Carbon-14 with the amount of Carbon-12 that is present, and then they make their assumption upon what the age is. This comparison is the C-14/C-12 ratio. The smaller the amount of C-14 is in comparison with C-12, the older the item appears to be. A majority of the “age determination” process involves the C-14/C-12 ratio. Even though this may sound like a pretty reliable process, problems exist that completely throw it off.

Problems with Carbon Dating

For those of you who took high school physics, you may remember the experiment which illustrates this concept. Your lab group started with 100 pennies with all of them having their heads up, and the teacher exclaims, “half-life!” Then, your lab group frantically flips over all of the pennies, and in theory, you should have 50 with their heads up remaining. But, in reality, you may have 63 while the group behind you has 42. The group next to you is to busy flicking the pennies at each other. The “teachers pet” group keeps flipping the same pennies over and over until they get exactly 50, while another group declares that they have no pennies while their pockets are bulging out. Results may vary in the same way in radioactive decay. Just because a math equation is tracking the general trend of how things should work, reality proves that sometimes a lot of other factors can change your results. Let’s face it; reality does not exist in a lab.

First, when objects such as fossils and rocks from several layers beneath the earth have detectable levels of Carbon-14 that is more than likely proof that the object is not millions of years old. Remember, after 50,000 years of decay and almost ten half-lives, only about 1/512 of the original amount is left.

Second, some types of plants are able to filter out and discriminate between the carbon dioxide which has Carbon-14 and that which does not. So, these plants would appear to be a lot older having less Carbon-14 in them.

Thirdly, the magnetic field of the earth has always been in a state of decay. It is the magnetic field of the earth which shields it from cosmic radiation which yields the production of C-14. This means that there is more C-14 is being made today than there was in the past. This would greatly throw off many of the measurements. Scientists are looking at present day rates and models to make conclusions on what happened in the past. If less C-14 was being produced, then there would be less around to be measured resulting in the earth looking a lot older.

Fourthly, volcanoes completely obliterate any attempts to make carbon dating measurements. They do this by spewing out a thick layer of C-12 everywhere which makes everything appear to be a lot older than it really is when you compare it to the amount of C-14 that one can find. So, when you add in the global cataclysm known as the Great Flood where there was serious volcanism on a world-wide scale, the end result is that heavy amounts of C-12 were spread as sediment all over the earth resulting in a very old appearance. But, we know that the earth is not old, it has just been flooded. Fifth, in contrast to my “Serway: Physics for Scientists and Engineers with Modern Physics, Third Edition” college textbook, the C-14/C-12 ratio has not been constant in the atmosphere. Without even taking the Great Flood and your typical volcano into consideration, many variables impact the reliability of this measuring system. The industrial age and the burning of fossil fuels greatly increase the amount of C-12 which makes the earth appear older. On the flip side, nuclear test detonations in 1950s, which are driven by fast moving neutrons, create a large amount C-14 in our atmosphere being one of the smaller reasons why nuclear testing was moved to be conducted underground. This large production of C-14 begins to give the people, plants, and animals of this era a much younger radiocarbon age rather than their true age.

Sixth, the amount of cosmic rays approaching the earth varies with the sun’s activity and our solar system’s passage through the Milky Way Galaxy’s various magnetic clouds. These hiccups would yield less C-14 giving a much older appearance.

In Conclusion

Due to the large amount of volcanic activity during the Great Flood, Creationists have suggested that scientists should recalibrate their readings between 5,000 and 50,000 years old to the date of the Flood. When keeping this in mind and being aware that several anomalies can significantly impact your measurements, radiocarbon dating can be a useful tool to consider when applied carefully.

Next time, we will look at other forms of radioactive dating and how they compare. We will also examine some of the problems with radioactive dating in general. Radioactive dating is not an absolute, but a tool which can have many hidden fallacies. Even agnostic members of the physics community do not support the objectivity of this form of dating. One must keep in mind that the study of radiation in general is less than 200 years old, and radioactive decay is radically less.

By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.”

Apostle Peter, 2 Peter 3:3-7

4. Biblical Foreknowledge

Foreknowledge is one of the key demonstrations of the Bible’s authenticity as the Word of God. The Gospel of John tells us that “in the Beginning there was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.” Later, John reveals that this Word is none other than Jesus Christ who he declares to be our Creator. Throughout the Bible, men such as Nehemiah, Jeremiah, and Job among others recorded their testimony of their encounters with the Word who John later reveals to be none other than Jesus Christ. Biblical Foreknowledge is when in the Bible, these men have an encounter with God in which He reveals to them mysteries that a person in that day and age could not have possibly known and mankind will probably not discover for thousands of years later. One such example in the last article involved fresh water springs on the ocean floor which God revealed to Job. There was no possible way for someone in Job’s way to know this, but since the Bible is the Creator’s words, Job was getting the information straight from the Architect thousands of years prior to its discovery.

The Hydrologic Cycle

The hydrologic cycle is the way we in the post-Flood world receive rain. The process as a whole works like this: rain falls, the water flows across the land into a river which flows into the sea, the sun’s rays causes the water to evaporate up into the air, the water vapor cools off, forms clouds, and then it rains again. All of this may be elementary level science, but it wasn’t until the 18^th century that a scientist named John Dalton, who was a believer, was able to understand and explain the entire cycle. During all of this time, the Word has been calling out with the following:

“All streams flow into the sea yet the sea in never full. To the place the streams come from, there they return again.” King Solomon, Ecclesiates 1:7

“ . . . He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth.” Jeremiah 10:13

“He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth . . .” Psalm 135:7

“He draws up the drops of water, which distill as rain to the streams; the clouds pour down their moisture and abundant showers fall on mankind.” Elihu, the Book of Job 36: 27-28

Some of these verses show the entire cycle, some of them only showing the invisible process of evaporation at work. And, all of these verses were written down thousands of years prior to the development of the scientific concepts which instruct us on these processes today.

The Pleiades and Orion Star Constellations

“Can you bind the beautiful Pleiades? Can you loose the cords of Orion?” Job 38:31

In 1846, Joham Madler observed that the stars that comprise the Pleiades Constellation were a cluster that is traveling in a South Westerly direction together at the same rate. He then declared that the stars that make up this constellation are gravitationally bound as the verse states. From 1930 to 1950, Dr. Robert Trumpler made 25,000 observations from Lick Observatory, and he confirmed that with no doubt, the Pleiades constellation is a system of stars that are bound together. The Hipparcos Satellite from the European Space Agency detailed that this cluster is 500 light years away from the earth, and the cluster also has a 12 light year diameter made up of over 600 young, hot blue stars. Keep in mind that a light year is a unit of distance that is used to when dealing with tremendous distances in outer space. It is the distance traveled if someone went at the speed of light for one year. So, one light year is the equivalent of 5,880,000,000,000 miles. However, they also concluded that for the time being, the cluster is gravitationally bound, but that 250 million years, it would break away from its gravitational bondage.

As for Orion, the constellation as a whole is not gravitationally bound. Some of the stars which make up the constellation are more than 1,000 light years apart from each other. However, as they are not bound, they do experience a form of gravitational equilibrium which allows the top and bottom portions to loosely expand and contract away from the belt of Orion. So, some of the stars within Orion are in fact bound to each other, while others are loosely bound allowing for some expansion and contraction.

Pi

Pi (3.14159265358979 . . .) is one of the most unique, never-ending numbers in physics, geometry, and engineering which is essential in all calculations involving circles and spheres. The ancient Egyptians calculated Pi to 3.16; the Babylonians figured it to be 3.125, while most modern engineers of today use the number 22/7 or 3.142857.

“He made the Sea of cast metal, circular in shape, measuring ten cubits from rim to rim . . . it took a line of thirty cubits to measure around it.” 1 Kings 7:23

As Solomon was building the Temple, he had a circular wash basin called the Sea where temple priests would have to see their reflection and then wash their hands while stating, “I wash my body, I wash my mind, I wash my spirit.” Many critics of the Bible often use this verse in an attempt to discredit the Bible. From Geometry we know that the circumference of a circle is equal to Pi multiplied by the diameter. Upon first examination of the verse, you see that the diameter of the wash basin is 10 cubits and the circumference is 30 cubits, when the circumference should be over 31 cubits in length. (a cubit is the length from you elbow to the tip of your middle finger). This would make one to believe that the Bible is using 3 instead of 3.14 . . . as Pi, but actually, God’s Word has a hidden correction factor that few scribes of that day and translators of today understand. When scribes are recording numbers, whenever they come across something they do not understand yet believe there is a significant unknown meaning (“remez” in Hebrew) to something, they make a note of in the margin known as a quere. One should also note that every letter in the Hebrew language has a certain number value assigned to it. In this verse, two words appear for the measuring cord: “qav” and “qaveh.” The Hebrew letters which make up “qav” carry the number values of 6+100 which is 106. “Qaveh” which is written in the margin carries the value of 5+6+100 which is 111. When you take the 111 divided by 106, you come up with a correction factor which can be multiplied by the 30 cubit length listed in the verse to get 31.41509, a number within 15 thousandths of an inch from mathematical perfection.

Infant Blood Clotting

“And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you . . . ” Genesis 17:12

In the days of Abraham, it was impossible for them to measure the clotting agents in the blood stream and plot them on a graph to discern which day is best for a newborn baby boy to be circumcised. But, Abraham had a genuine relationship with the One who put it all together. God commanded Abraham that all of his newborn boys should be circumcised on the eighth day. When looking at a graph of clotting agents in an infant’s blood stream, the level starts from zero, raises above normal necessary amount on the sixth day, peaks on the eighth day, and then returns down to a normal level on the tenth day.

The Ark

The Ark was not a tugboat, and it was not a yacht. It was a large, rectangular barge engineered by our Creator to take a huge beating. Its dimensions of 30:5:3 have been declared to be the engineering perfection for a seaworthy vessel with a huge payload and for speed to not be a factor.

In 1844, Isambard K. Brunnel built the very large SS Great Britain based off of the Ark’s dimensions. In World War II, many shipbuilders resorted to these dimensions to build large seaworthy ships known as “ugly ducklings” that are capable of carrying a large payload.

In Conclusion

God has been making Himself and His mysteries known for thousands of years, the question is, “are we listening and paying attention?” Scientific discoveries which are less than one hundred years old are very plainly mentioned in a language that a shepherd could understand. All of this demonstrates Biblical Foreknowledge and authenticates the Bible as mankind’s source of knowledge to the Creator. Remember what the Apostle John stated upfront in the Gospel he wrote, “in the Beginning there was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.” So, if you want to know what Jesus is saying, or how God interacts with people and things, getting into the Word is the truest way to get to know Christ, our Creator. So, read your Bible and get to know your Creator.

Next, we will first examine the trustworthiness of radioactive dating. After that, we will begin to ask “What is the evidence?” as we examine the many different personalities and “evidence” that make up what we know today as Macro-Evolution.

3. Walking the Deep

“Have you journeyed to the springs of the sea or walked the recesses of the deep?”

Job 38:16

Springs are sources of underground fresh water. They are found in mountains, valleys, and all sorts of places. However, one would not expect to find them on the bottom of the salty ocean. This verse has appeared absurd for centuries in the face of science and reason until the first one was found off the coast of Ecuador. This spring on the ocean floor erupted hot fresh water into the salty ocean. As God used this question to challenge a frustrated Job, He continues to challenge the understandings of our age. It goes to show that by faith, we are to accept God’s word at face value even though we have not found the physical evidence to many of the questions and skepticisms that Creationism is faced with today. God’s word will ring true and outlast any and every evolutionary / uniformitarian scientific claim that comes to bare. As for the rest of the verse . . .

Walking the Recesses of the Deep

Evolutionary and secular scientists claim that the ocean is three billion years old. Since this claim has complete disregard for a Biblical model of the earth and the universe which ranges from 6,000 to 7,000 years old, we must ask an important question: What does the evidence say? The evidence that they need to support their claim would be an ocean bottom that is smooth and buried in miles of sediment. Thanks to twentieth century advances in technology which have enabled mankind to map the ocean floor, we have discovered the ocean floor is actually just the opposite. Instead, it is filled with large mountain ranges, trenches, dense layers of rock, and a thin layer of sediment.

Last time, we studied the Mid Oceanic Ridge which is the result of cataclysmic events believed to cause the global Flood of Noah. In mapping the ocean floor, we have found this 46,000 mile ridge to be the largest, most significant mountain range in the world. Underground forces pushing up this ridge in a rapid fashion caused a catastrophic continental drift giving birth to the continents, trenches, and mountains that we know of today. This crazy topography does not support a slow, steady drift which took millions of years of gradual pushing less than inches at a time. A slow moving continental drift should have plowed any tough topography into a smooth ocean floor. Besides, modern day continental drift is not consistent in any one direction. As the continent may drift in one direction at this rate this year, it could be in a completely different direction at a completely different rate the next year. As you recall the last lesson, the continental drift happened quickly. Ten mile thick slabs of surface crust began sliding on a thin layer of water at the onset of the global Flood. These land masses slid at speeds up to 45 MPH and when resistance was met, the upwards and downwards buckling of the ground formed the trenches and mountain ranges that we know of today.

Another thing that happened during the formation of the Mid Oceanic Ridge is the spewing of magnetized rocks from below the earth known as magnetite. These chunks lay scattered all over the ocean floor, especially concentrated around the Mid Oceanic Ridge. The magnetic fields within the rocks would certainly be able to align themselves with the North and South Pole of the Earth over millions of years. However, that does not prove to be the case. The magnetic fields are erratic and random at best. This evidence matches up with the idea that several magnets were basically thrown around and landed onto the ocean floor and have not yet had the time to line up with the Earth’s magnetic field.

Secular scientists have also figured that the water and wind from the continents erode and deposit 20 billion tons of dirt and rock from the land into the ocean every year. The sediment falls down and loosely deposits itself onto the hard lava-formed rock of the ocean floor. Also every year, one billion tons of this sediment gets pushed underneath the continental plates at a rate of a centimeter per year by a process defined as subduction. The remaining 19 billion tons continues to build up onto the ocean floor year after year. It was believed that the sedimentary build up upon the ocean floor would be miles deep since it should have been ongoing at this approximate rate for billions of years. Evidence from mapping the ocean floor shows that on average, less than 400 meters (yards) of sedimentary build up exists on the ocean floor. So, when you take today’s present rate of erosion with the evidence of a thin sedimentary layer, you only get 12 million years worth of erosion. Here evolutionary science enters into a conundrum. “An alternative (Creationist) explanation is that erosion from the waters of the Genesis Flood running off the continents deposited the present amount of sediment within a short time about 5,000 years ago.”(Dr. Russell Humphreys, Ph.D., ICR associate professor of physics).

In Conclusion

God spoke volumes of scientific wonders to Job which are recorded in the Book of Job. The presence of fresh water springs on the ocean floor is just one of many of them, and a stroll on the ocean floor proves just how young our Earth really is. Scripture speaks that the “rocks will cry out” and that “this rock will bear witness.” Right here, on the ocean floor, the rocks testify about Creation and the Flood which are all events that Christ personally referenced. He stated that the He was before Abraham, and that He was the Creator. He also stated that His Second Coming would be very much like the coming of the Flood in Noah’s days. The Flood came suddenly and with no warning, sparing only a small family who were considered righteous because they believed God’s Judgment was coming. And in believing it would happen, they built an Ark as God instructed and survived. Christ is one day coming again, and only by believing in Him, will people survive the Final Judgment that is coming with Him.

When questions and doubts arise and answers are few or unfound, let Faith alone carry you to the Truth.

2. The Flood

“In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day or the second month – on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. And rain fell on the earth for forty days and forty nights.”

Moses, Genesis 7: 11-12

Hollywood has produced films showing global cataclysms as the result of global warming. They show a subzero cold front freezing a helicopter instantaneously to temperatures hundreds of degrees below zero causing it to fall from the sky while its crew members are nothing more than ice statues. They showed New York and California being flooded and frozen, a volcano erupting in the middle of LA, and much more. Yet, little creativity on their part is afforded to the efforts of demonstrating the reality of the Flood, God’s first (but not final) Judgement upon the earth. In this e-mail, you will see science and scripture walk hand in hand as the reality of the “springs of the great deep bursting forth” had cataclysmic effects resulting in it raining for forty days and forty nights; the ice age; the rapid formation of oil, coal, and the fossil record; the creation of the modern day mountains, volcanoes, canyons, oceans, and continents.

The Hydroplate Theory

Any scientific assumption that cannot be proved in a lab on a regular basis is a theory. Evolution is a theory. Electromagnetism is a theory. The existence of black holes is a theory involving a lot of math and assumption, yet we all for the most part find their existence certainly plausible. Even the way a radio works is a theory because let’s face it, we may have big ideas about how it works with tried and true measurements to support what we all believe in, but let’s face it, no one has ever seen a radio wave. There could be even deeper mysteries to it.

Even in Creationism, we have theories of our own. The difference is that our theories yield to the Word of God which we know to be true. One of these theories is the Hydroplate theory. Hydro meaning water and plate involves the many layers of sediment, dirt, and rock which make up the crust and mantle of the earth. So, the theory involves a subterranean layer of water that is underneath the earth’s surface constituting the water mentioned in Genesis that burst forth from the Great Deep. The theory was developed by a Dr. Walter Brown (Former Air Force Academy Professor, Professor Emeritus of Physics, and Director of the Center of Scientific Creation) who is also a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. He has created various computer simulations and mathematical models that uncover what we see in scripture with what we see today.

According to Dr. Brown’s theory, 10 miles below the earth’s surface, a subterranean layer of water that was a ½ mile thick existed in various interconnected chambers. This water constituted half of the water in the oceans today existed in this thin spherical shell of interconnected chambers. Subterranean pressures began to build up which caused the earth’s crust to stretch and expand like a balloon causing failures in the earth’s crust in between the hydroplate and the earth’s surface causing a crack to form. The crack went in two different directions: one moving north and one moving south at the rate of 3 miles per second. The cracks followed the path of least resistance as it encircled the globe in about two hours time. As the crack formed, the subterranean water began to vent through the small crack as 10 miles of earth and rock pressing down upon it accelerated the water to hypersonic speeds. Enormous amounts of pressure and hundreds of degrees of heat due to friction took its effect upon the water making its rocketing ascent all the more explosive. As it spewed forth from the crack at speeds breaking the sound barrier, it sprayed 20 miles upward into the earth’s atmosphere giving birth to this global cataclysm. According to Dr. Brown, this event would have the energy release of 10 billion hydrogen bombs. Some of the water coming out of the crack just fell down to the ground as a tidal wave. Some of it began to change weather patterns and set the stage for the forty days and nights of torrential rainfall that the world has never seen before or after. Some of the large volumes of water quickly froze in the earth’s atmosphere and fell back down to earth as a freezing blast instantaneously freezing, suffocating, and burying all life in its path. This is why in places like Siberia and Alaska, you find perfectly preserved mammoths that were instantly frozen in place. The ice age was not global. In caves in Nebraska, evidence can be found for an ice age, while in Arkansas caves, you cannot find evidence for the ice age. So, the effects of the ice age did have north and south limits and would not have affected places like Israel and Mesopotamia, but the Flood did.

The Sedimentary Mudslide

As this high pressure water spewed forth, another thing began to happen. Erosion occurred at the cracks and they were continuously widened as sediments began to spew forth with the water creating a large mudslide on both sides of the cracks covering the continents. The mudslide engulfed plants and animals leading as it spread forth over the land with a tremendous amount of heat and pressure. This set of dynamics led to the rapid production of coal, oil, and the current fossil record. If it were not for this sedimentary burial of animals today, the mineralization process could not have occurred to preserve the animals that are being dug up today. This fact alone challenges evolutionary beliefs in how the fossils got to be in a position to be fossilized in the first place.

The Significance of the Mid Oceanic Ridge (MOR)

The Mid Oceanic Ridge (MOR) is the tallest and largest mountain range in the world and traces the globe like a seam on a baseball. Where is it? It’s on the ocean floor. How did it get there? It’s one of the cracks from the Flood. As the cracks eroded to a certain width, subterranean rocks began to spring upward to form this mountain range. As it gained in height, it elevated the earth’s crust in that region. A small portion of the water left behind from the subterranean hydroplate began to act as a lubricant causing the continents to begin to drift away from the crack. The continents accelerated to a speed of 45 miles per hour until they met resistance. Once resistance is met, the crust began to compress and buckle up and down. Where it buckled up, a mountain was formed. Where it buckled low, a trench was formed. The rising of the MOR continued to push the earth to form the rise of continents, mountains, and oceanic trenches throughout the period of the flood. All major mountain ranges today are parallel to the Mid Oceanic Ridges from where they slid. Eventually water drained off from the rising land into the deep ocean basin.

In Conclusion

Before the Flood, there was no rain: “for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth . . . but streams (also can be translated as a mist or a spring) came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground.” (Genesis 2:6). Plant life found from this period is described to have very broad leaves in order to catch the mists which supplied the earth its daily allotment of water. God’s Judgment brought change. This cataclysmic Flood left the earth, its climate, and everything now different. Now we have a hydrologic cycle which did not exist before the Flood. In the hydrologic cycle, you have rain falling on the land, then it gets evaporated into the air, it condensates, it rains, and so on. As a result, a dramatic reduction in the size of leaves is noted between the plant life of today and Pre-Flood. Only God could put together something so violent and altering, and could make it so life giving.

In His next and final Judgment according to the book of Revelation, the earth and the universe as a whole shall undergo an intense fire causing them to pass away and leaving us with a New Heaven and a New Earth. There we shall have no tears and no sorrows. There will be no seas for the water that flows there shall be the Water of Life flowing from the Throne of God established on the New Earth. We also will not have any light except for the Light of God. Another Judgment is coming: more severe, more intense, more violent, and much more altering. But, the life it will yield will be all the more exquisite for those who know that Christ is their Ark through the coming storms.

1. Canyons are young

Before we dive into the Creation Week, the Flood, and many other events, let's take a moment to lay down some groundwork which we can be seen in the Grand Canyon and other canyons like it. The world view of evolutionists is that several mathematically IMPOSSIBLE events randomly bounced together to create something advanced and wonderful. In order to support their theory, they need a great deal of time to allow these completely random events to come together. Often, they continuously extend the timeline more and more in an effort to make all of their numbers work out. The philosophy behind this way of thinking is known as uniformitarianism. Uniformitarianism is spelled out in a unique quote that is on the first few pages of almost every textbook stating that one must measure the way things are today to understand the past. So according to uniformitarianism, powerful assumptions are made that if one measured the Colorado River today, then we should assume that it has been flowing like this for millions of years. In contrast, Creationists take the Word of God as the standard and therefore believe in a young earth and universe which is between 6000 to 7000 years old. Creationists also believe in two very significant cataclysmic events which have instantly altered the entire planet when they happened: the curse of the fall of man, and the Flood. Once a person understands some of the details of the global impact of these events, you can understand that there is no way one can look and measure the things of the world we have today in order to understand a greatly different world. In our age today, a lot can happen naturally in 6 hours, 1 day, 1 week or a month in the appropriate conditions.

The Grand Canyon:

It is said today that the Grand Canyon has been carved by the Colorado River for the past 65 million years in order to be the breath taking sight that it is today. To come up with this figure, they measure present day averages of river flow, sedimentary content, divided by the present day volume of what has been cut into the 227 mile long, 4-18 mile wide, 1 mile deep canyon while also taking into account for the different type of rock layers and the impact the Colorado River would have upon them. When the math is done, they come up with the large 65 million year number. This takes no account of the impact of water flowing in from a melting glacier from the end of a post flood Ice Age and it does not take into account of global flood which occurred from an eruption of a large amount of subterranean water into the upper atmosphere (Genesis 7:11; we'll get more into this in a later edition).

But, in being fair to the uniformitarianists, what does the present day evidence say?

EROSION: Types of erosion (slow, semi-turbulent, or turbulent) can be pinpointed by the formation of certain rock/crystal patterns. The formation of aragonite shows a slow, gradual erosion. Semi-turbulent erosion would develop calcite. Turbulent water erosion would develop microcite. Guess which one is found in the Grand Canyon? . . . MICROCITE! With this verifying turbulent waters existed in the formation of the Grand Canyon, this counters the idea that it was formed slowly over 65 million years. Instead, it was formed with great violence and turbulence.

LAYERING: Take a close look at the 17 layers of the Grand Canyon. Notice how very neat and distinct they are. None of them are blended together. They are like pancakes stacked on top of each other. The layers do not blend like a painting with the colors running down. They are all very neat. Why? A teacher had a large see through cylinder filled with water and an array of different types of sediments. She asked the class how long it would take for the layers of earth to settle. The class responded with millions of years as they have been conditioned to. The teacher shook up the cylinder, and within minutes, all the different layers have formed with the densest ones being on the bottom. She had to repeat this experiment four times before the class realized that subterranean layers can settle and form in the presence of a large volume of water. Speaking of layers, every 3rd layer out of the 17 layers in the Grand Canyon has a gypsum layer. It takes 300 degrees F and a lot of water in order for gypsum to form. This could have happened by the uniformitarianist way of a cataclysmic event happening every 3 ages; or it could happen by one cataclysmic Flood and when the layers settled in accordance to their density, the gypsum mud slides came in settled with them.

FOSSILS: Nautiloids are small squid-dart like creatures that are found on one of the deep layers of the Grand Canyon. These fossils would not exist if tons of sediment did not violently come down on top of them and encapsulate them. One of the interesting observations about these fossils is that they are all parallel to each other. Creation scientist made models of the shapes of these creatures and put them in a wave pool to simulate a violent wave burying them. The result, they all got buried parallel to each other. What you have here is a mass nautiloid-cide.

FOSSILIZED FOOTPRINTS: Also, amphibian (not reptile) footprints seen in a distressed, crisis fashion with heavy toe imprints with little to no pressure on the soles of the feet. The footprints also do not go in the direction they are pointed. It was as if the animal was trying to hold its head above water as a wave was pushing it in a direction it did not want to go. Lab tests conducted with amphibians showed similar results and conclusions.

Now, let's look at the formation of present day canyons, gulches, and valleys so we can see how long it took them to take place.

Mount St Helen Revealed:

Last week, we discussed that the eruption of Mount St Helen offered volumes of data in favor of a young Earth. The eruption showed that within a 24 hour period, a volcanic mudslide roaring at 40-90 MPH can create a 140 foot deep cut through solid rock which came to be known as the Little Grand Canyon (please note that this should not be confused with the Little Grand Canyons in the states of Illinois, Missouri, and Utah). It turns out that this hot mudslide came into contact with water and ice as it was cutting through the rock which caused explosions of steam which amplified the efforts of creating the canyon. Under conditions such as these, the actual Grand Canyon could have been cut in months as supposed to millions of years. Within a 24 hour period, Mount St Helen also accomplished the following feats that are supposed to take thousands or millions of years: it petrified wood in 6 hours, created a 600 foot sediment layer with fossilized plants and animals, it formed peat which is a precursor to coal, and formed igneous rock created in 1980 but having a radioisotope date of millions of years. We now know that time is not a factor in these events, rather temperature, water, pressure, and mineralization are the keys to these processes.

Other Canyons:

- Burlingame Canyon (1500 ft long, 120 ft deep, 120 ft wide) near Walla Walla, WA formed within a six day period when an irrigation effort went bad due to some heavy spring rains. Within the six day period, 5 million cubic feets of silt, sand, and rock were washed away.

- June 8, 1974, a rain storm eroded a valley in Brazil that is 16 ft deep, 50 ft wide, and 1600 ft long within 5 minutes.

- Providence Canyon, Lumpkin, GA, irrigation ditches dug in the 1850s eroded into gullies that were 1/4 mile wide and 150 feet deep.

- The Grand Canyon's own Colorado River flooded irrigators in Mexico. In nine months time, 450 cubic meters were eroded which are four times the size of the efforts of the Panama Canal. The erosion formed 43 miles of channels with an average width of 1000 ft and a depth of 50 feet and also formed the Salton Sea lake which was 45 miles long and 20 miles wide. This river diversion effort by irrigators became the largest man-made disaster in history.

In Conclusion (yay!):

A good motto to remember is "It either takes a little water and a long time, or a lot of water and a short time." It should also be known that all present day observable canyon, gulch, and valley formations have been by a lot of water and a short amount of time. I hope this small excerpt can show you that many scientific claims today do not line up with what is going on around us that can be observed everyday. Canyons and gulches are not formed quietly over millions of years, but over a short amount of time with great violence, temperature, and many dynamics taking place. "Even though we did not witness the Flood, we do see modern catastrophes, and they rapidly accomplish things the Flood did on a grander scale. In a short, Biblically compatible time scale, such a Flood can account for the features we see on earth, features which many geologists mistake for evidence of great age. Earth doesn't really look old, it looks flooded." (John Morris, PhD, Why Does the IRC study the Mount ST Helen's Eruption) A critical question to ask any scientific claim is "What's the evidence?" Many fallacies can be found by a fair examination of the evidence that many un-Biblical claims are based upon.

Intro to Creation Science

I've had a unique privilege to attend a Creation Science class through my church. It is taught by a gentlemen who has a whole slew of science degrees to include an MD and degrees in chemistry. He used to teach evolution as a college professor before he became a believer in Jesus Christ. Since becoming a believer, he has had his eyes opened to the errors of modern science and he has the ability to articulate about the different issues like no other. The man is a walking encyclopedia. I wish to share this information in order to edify the body of believers that the Bible is true, and universe is young. There is plenty of scientific evidence out there, and this is my introduction to sharing it.

The Bible:

The Bible is the absolute authority. It is the compilation of generations of credible witnesses and testimony of the Word, who is the Truth, who is Jesus Christ. The Bible does not have all the details of the ages recorded. It is not a science book. That is not its purpose. It is a book on relationships among men and their Creator. The Bible does accurately make mention of very involved scientific processes in a language that a common shepherd could understand. Many scientists have only began to figure out many of these highly involved scientific processes in the 19th century only to later discover that these processes have been explained in the book of Job or some other book in the Bible. Sometimes, the translation of the Scriptures into English can sometimes lose some of the descriptive power that the Scripture is trying to make. But, we are going to try to get past all of that and get down to the Truth.

Jesus said it best to the pharisees:

"If you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me. But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?" Jesus, Gospel of John 5:46-47.

If people can't believe the Genesis story of Moses who was writing about Jesus who is the Creator, then their beliefs in Jesus as Lord and Savior can come into question. If this seems hard, go back to the verse and see what He had to say. Moses is one of His witnesses. To shun the witness, is to shun Christ. To shun Christ, is to shun God. To shun God, . . . is to reject Truth, Heaven, this Life, and Eternal Life. Data and evidence are up to interpretations and misinterpretations; Truth is not to be tampered with or else there will be a Great Lion on your case.

Modern Problems with Science

Most of the problems of scientific claims, other than being against the Bible, is that science has accepted a certain story that is not based upon fact. According to Issac Newton, physics is the art of observing creation to explore the mysteries of the Creator. Nowadays, the common evolutionary scientist has made himself the author of the story and is trying to replace God. He feels energized as pride sets himself up for the ultimate fall . . . being the stumbling block for millions. Scripture warns us "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end, it only results in destruction." Philosophically, the evolutionary perspective also gives birth to world systems that are void of compassion and love and focus solely on cold efficiency that wishes to discard all else out of the way. Beliefs such as "survival of the fittest" also mean "might makes right" which fuel things like Nazis who believe in Aryan supremacy.

Evolutionists have created the story and indoctrinated the entire world without providing credible evidence. A credible scientific process is supposed to take the evidence, make observations, and then present what is believed to be going on. The anthem of evolutionists is basically, "well, we will just have to keep trying to find more fossils until we find one that fits." It is unfortunate how much evidence is thrown out because it does not meet their creation story. And, later we will get into the false tampering of fossils found used to just illustrate what they believe things should look like. Often times, evolutionists do proclaim that they have gone so far with the investment of money, reputation, and time in the development of their theories, that there is no turning back for them. And they are also known to say that most of their interpretations of the evidence laying before them mostly comes for their intense desire to see it. In other words, they see what they want to believe. The same could be said about Creationists, but I would have to say that it is Jesus who gives sight to the blind.

The Conflict

Evolutionists believe in a very old Earth and Universe. There are two reasons for this: 1. They are all uniformitarianists which means that they believe that by studying present day rates of decay, continental drift, sun shrinkage, and many other things, that you can kind of count backwards to see how things were millions of years ago. Just check out the quote in the beginning of most geology textbooks which declares that we study the present in order to understand the past. The problem is the past is the past, and the present is the present. 2. In order for their mathematically impossible random events to happen to support evolution, you have to keep piling on billions of years in order to beat the odds. So, when you take both of these things into account, I pose this question? How can life on Earth evolve millions and billions of years ago, when if you take the present shrinkage rate of the sun, the Earth would be inside of the sun? Uh-oh, back to the drawing board.

Creationists believe in a dynamic, explosive Earth and universe that undergoes rapid change. For example, when Mount St Helen erupted in the 1980's, coal was produced within a 24 hour period (the process was observed and then reduplicated in laboratory environment), not in millions of years. Another amazing event that happened with the eruption of Mount St Helen is that a 40-90 MPH mudslide carved out a 140 foot deep canyon in solid rock within a 24 hour period known today as Little Grand Canyon. What does this tell us about the actual Grand Canyon? Did it take millions of years of the Colorado River taking dirt particle by dirt particle to cut the Grand Canyon by the process of erosion? If so, are the signs of erosion there to support that argument? Or, did some tremendous event involving a lot of water, like a global cataclysmic FLOOD, do all of the damage in 3 weeks? The question is was it a little bit of water of a lot of time, or a lot of water over a little bit of time? It's unfortunate that the funding of science is reduced to only one perspective on the issue.

Today, Creationists and Evolutionists are examining the same pile of bones and are coming to different conclusions. This illustrates the huge impact that perspective, beliefs, and world views have. Unfortunately, only one side of the story typically gets out to the masses.

My Goal

Even though I love science, my love for God's Word reigns supreme. When it comes down to it, it is science which has to go back to the drawing board and catch up. I wish to take these studies I have done and been involved with and share them with all of you.

The Scripture foretells that powerful delusions will sweep across the world as we approach the end. I think the closer to the end we get, the more powerful the delusions will be. How many children lose their faith because they are taught evolution 5+ hours per week by a professional educator, and then go to Sunday School one hour per week? Church, our weapons are Truth and Love, the very nature of our God which make Him so Powerful. May we bring both to arms.
